Remarkable improvement
22 people found this helpful
I was astonished. For years, every month was dreadful for nearly two weeks with debilitating leg cramps. I visited numerous doctors, but they would only prescribe 'the pill', which offered little help and introduced other complications. After reading about Dong Quai, I decided to give it a try. I now take two capsules daily, and the improvement has been remarkable. My energy and mood have elevated. Leg cramps that once required strong painkillers every few hours for about a week now only need a few regular doses of ibuprofen for three days. My heavy periods have diminished from 6-9 days to a lighter 4-5 days. I used to endure severe headaches weekly; while they still occur, they're now considerably milder. I wish to ask those doctors why they weren't aware of this.

I love this product! After stopping the pill, I researched herbal supplements to aid the transition and found Angelica/Dong Quai. My periods, which were heavy and irregular after quitting the pill, have normalised to a near-perfect 28-day cycle. My leg cramps are also much better and less severe than before. I recommend this to any woman experiencing hormonal problems!

Daughter's relief

I bought this for my daughter, and she reports having no cramps during her first cycle while using it.
Leg cramps, often referred to as "charley horses," are sudden, involuntary contractions of one or more muscles in the leg. They typically occur in the calf muscles but can also affect the thighs and feet. These cramps can be quite painful and may last from a few seconds to several minutes. While the exact cause of leg cramps is not always clear, they can be triggered by factors such as dehydration, prolonged sitting or standing, electrolyte imbalances, or physical activity, especially in those who are not used to vigorous exercise.
Treatment for leg cramps often involves stretching the affected muscle gently, applying heat or cold to the area, and ensuring adequate hydration. For some, dietary adjustments to include more potassium, magnesium, and calcium may help prevent future occurrences. If cramps are frequent or severely debilitating, it may be beneficial to consult a healthcare provider for a more tailored approach. Understanding the underlying causes of leg cramps can lead to more effective management strategies, improving overall comfort and mobility.
Dong Quai, also known as Angelica sinensis, is a medicinal herb commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine. Often referred to as "female ginseng," it is particularly renowned for its potential benefits in women's health. The root of the Dong Quai plant is rich in vitamins, minerals, and phytoestrogens, which may help to regulate menstrual cycles, alleviate symptoms of menopause, and promote overall hormonal balance.
In addition to its uses in women's health, Dong Quai is also believed to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which may support overall well-being. While many individuals use Dong Quai as a natural remedy for various ailments, it's important to consult with a healthcare provider before incorporating it into your regimen, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking medications. Though research on its efficacy is ongoing, Dong Quai remains a popular choice among those seeking natural alternatives for health support.
Dong Quai, also known as Angelica sinensis, is an herb often used in traditional Chinese medicine, primarily for its potential benefits in women's health. While there is some anecdotal evidence suggesting that Dong Quai may help improve circulation and reduce symptoms associated with menstrual discomfort, scientific studies specifically evaluating its efficacy for leg cramps are limited. The traditional use of the herb is linked to relaxation and promoting blood flow, which theoretically could help with muscle cramps. However, more rigorous clinical trials are necessary to confirm these effects.
If you're considering Dong Quai for leg cramps, it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional, especially if you are taking other medications or have underlying health issues. They can provide personalized advice and alternative remedies that have been better studied in relation to leg cramps, such as hydration, electrolyte balance, and stretching exercises. While herbal supplements can offer benefits, they should be used with caution and always under professional guidance.
Based on user reviews, many individuals report significant improvements in their leg cramps after consistent use of Dong Quai, with varying timelines. Another user mentioned that after taking Dong Quai for just a couple of months, their period was notably shorter and lighter, leading to an overall better menstrual experience Read Review.
In addition to menstrual cramps, many users reported improvements in related symptoms such as heavy bleeding and mood swings. One user shared that their heavy periods were normalized to a more manageable cycle, while another noted significant reductions in PMS symptoms and a general enhancement in their sense of well-being Read Review. However, it’s important to keep in mind that individual results can vary, and while some users found total relief from cramps, others experienced only partial benefits and emphasized the need for patience and consistent usage for the best results Read Review.

However, caution is advised when using Dong Quai in conjunction with certain medications. One user mentioned that they observed a potential decrease in effectiveness when combining Dong Quai with other medications, suggesting the importance of consulting a healthcare professional to ensure safe and effective use Read Review. This suggests that while two capsules seems effective for most, the ideal dosage may vary by individual, and consulting a healthcare professional is advisable for personalized recommendations.

I’ve been taking this for a few years, and it does help to relieve cramps, though not completely. I love the convenience of this Chinese medicine in capsule form compared to boiling herbal soup. I recommend it to anyone who suffers from severe cramps, but be persistent as it doesn't show effects immediately.

Life-changing experience

Since my first menstruation, I've battled many issues, including severe leg cramps. Dong Quai has literally transformed my life. It’s become unnecessary to take daily pills, as my menstrual cycle is now regular and almost pain-free. I plan to continue using this herb indefinitely. However, I have noticed it might lose effectiveness if I take other medications alongside it.

I was sceptical but believed it did 'something'. I started with half the recommended dose, taking three a day. It provided so much energy that I struggled to sleep. My period has started, and thankfully, I have no cramps or headaches this time.
